This location started as a pretty traditional nail salon. Then ownership changed. Then the questions started. Why are nail salons closed when people are actually off work? Why does custom nail art sometimes feel like asking for too much? Why shouldn’t nail artists be treated like actual artists? Why does every salon have to look, feel, and operate exactly the same? And, apparently, what happens when an artist with an IT background buys a nail salon without knowing nearly enough about nails? Gloss Haus Westgate happens. We started changing things. Hours. Team. Services. Atmosphere. Expectations. The way we talk about the people who work here. The way we think about nail art. The way we think about what a nail salon can actually be. Today, Gloss Haus Westgate is an artisan nail salon and nail lounge built around talented people, creativity, comfort, personality, late hours, and some ideas that probably would not have made it through a traditional salon committee. That is okay with us. We like a little different. Nails Are Art Here Our Haus Artists work with acrylic nails, Gel-X extensions, builder gel, sculpted nail enhancements, manicures, pedicures, custom nail art, hand-painted nail art, airbrush designs, professional press-ons, and more. Some guests want clean and simple. Some want dramatic. Some want tiny flowers. Some want chrome, texture, airbrush, characters, hand-painted art, or something they saved from TikTok at 2AM. Some walk in and say, “I have no idea what I want, but I want something cool.” That works too. We are an artisan nail salon. That means our artists actually get to be artists. They have different styles, different strengths, different personalities, and different things they love to create. We are not trying to make every artist identical. We are trying to build a team of skilled people doing amazing work. Professional Press-On Nails No time to sit for a full set? We have professional press-on nails. Not mass-produced little plastic sets that all look the same. Our press-on sets are handcrafted by our Haus Artists, and each set is one of a kind. If you see one you love, grab it. If you do not see one that feels like you, we can create a custom press-on set just for you. Your colors. Your shape. Your length. Your art. Custom press-on nails are a great option for events, vacations, concerts, photos, weddings, business branding, or honestly just because you want really good nails without sitting for a full enhancement appointment. Around here, press-ons are not an afterthought. They are another canvas. NFC Chipped Nails And this is where my IT life and nail salon life finally collided. Gloss Haus Westgate also offers NFC chipped nails. We can add an NFC chip to a custom press-on set. We can add one to nail enhancements. We can place it on top of the nail. We can paint right over it. So yes, the tech can literally disappear into the art. With a compatible phone, an NFC chipped nail can connect to a website, social media page, digital business card, booking page, contact information, portfolio, event page, or another compatible link. We have also been using NFC nails as promotional nail keychains and lanyard accessories. Tiny pieces of nail art that can actually do something. It is part nail art, part tech, part business tool, and very much the kind of thing that makes sense around here. Basically, we took networking and put better nails on it. Open Late. Actually Late. Gloss Haus Westgate is open 11AM–11PM daily… or later. Seven days a week. That is not a cute marketing line we added later. The hours matter to us. People work. People have kids. People work nights. People work long shifts. People own businesses. People have games, concerts, dinners, appointments, school, and actual lives.
